The expansion board (without XBee module) is a ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 compliant solution that meets the special needs of low cost, low power wireless sensor networks. The module is easy to use, has very low power consumption, and provides reliable transmission of critical data between devices. As the innovative design, XBee-PRO can exceed the standard ZigBee module by 2-3 times in the range.XBee-PRO module works in the ISM 2.4 GHz frequency band and is pin compatible with XBee (1mW) Zigbee module. The module is widely used in the United States, Canada, Australia, Israel and Europe.No configuration is required to establish RF communication, and the module’s default configuration supports a wide range of data system applications. You can also use the simple AT commands for advanced configuration. The expansion board does not include the XBee module. The expansion board can be used with any XBee module.
